BYU-Idaho Student Wins Phone Call with David!

REXBURG – A BYU-Idaho student wins a phone call from David Archuleta this afternoon.
Courtney Cook is, just like many other single girls, Archuleta’s biggest fan.
So she called in to an Archuleta hot-line and told her favorite Christmas memory in hopes of getting a chance to speak to her idol.
“Umm it’s pretty exciting, umm. I’m going to try my best to let him know I’m single. And maybe we can hook something up there,” said Cook.
Cook’s favorite Christmas memory was when her family spent their Christmas funds on a family that had greater needs.

“The celebrities were so low-key. Everyone drove themselves, there were no handlers, no entourages,” adds the source. “Everyone was in a good mood. Most people showed up early and many celebrities, including Chevy Chase, Olivia Wilde and David Archuleta, stayed after the telethon was over so they could keep answering phone calls.
In the greenroom, Chris Rock noshed on a cupcake from Crumbs bakery while talking to Ben Stiller. Morgan Freeman and Halle Berry chatted about her daughter Nahla. And Leonardo DiCaprio drank white wine while Archuleta rejoiced when he found papaya on the fruit platter.

Sorry that this is so long! But I just felt like I needed to talk a little more about helping Haiti. It’ll make up for the lack of blogging right? haha. I’ll try and teach myself how to shorten them in the future. But Thanks everyone who’s been donating and helping Haiti! I had a great time in Central America and can’t wait to go back! Can’t wait to start more writing sessions next week, and thanks on behalf of me and my sister for all the Japanese culture items! haha

Somebody Out There and Prayer of the Children

Keep donating what you can to help Haiti. This bit of news just broke: Haiti is calling off the search for survivors in the rubble, saying there is “little hope of finding more people alive” after 11 days. Visit this post and our first post on this tragedy for how to help.
